The Team: Branwen “Anu” Takacs

Branwen ” Anu ” Takacs has been a resident of Second Life since 2007.  Following in the footsteps of the Gaia philosophy that all living organisms can positively effect the nature of their environmental habitat is her passion and ultimately brought her to SecondLife.

Founder of Shamballa Sacred Dance, her weekly sacred pilgrimage is a journey that recharges the spirit, returns us to wholeness of mind and body, and brings clarity to our relationship with the divine.  Shambhala, or Shamballa is a Sanskrit term meaning “place of peace, tranquility, and happiness.”  This sangha is a pure land in the the human realm.  We gather to enrich the mind,  develop courage and cultivate compassion in ourselves and others. The primary principle guiding all sangha relationships should be to help each other.

Anu, better known as the “Voice” for children globally, believes that everything and everyone is inter-woven for reasons that may not always be  understood initially.  With patience, we find that at the right time the purpose of our mutual journeys becomes clearer and we come to recognize we walk a path of constant growth and development together. ”When an individual is ready to find Shamballa, they will.  And this will not happen one moment before they are called to come join in our dance,” says Anu.

Anu is a 15-years devotee of Paramahansa Yogananda and graduate of Self Realization Fellowship ( SRF ). which was founded in 1920.  SRF gives instruction in all the meditation techniques of the Kriya Yoga science, as well as in the many other aspects of balanced spiritual living taught by Yogananda.

I teach one thing and one only:
that is, suffering and the end of suffering.
